Blah blah ba-choo.
My PureVolume Site.
First song is (for now) titled "September Song." This is because it was wrote at the end of September. The rest is pretty self-explanatory. Oh, I wanted to mention that one of the original lyrics for the chorus was, "We will live forever and I know that it's true," in honor of Steve and Peppermint Birth control, but I didn't think enough people would get the reference (and it didn't really fit in context) so I scrapped it.
Next song is "Fall Song." Wrote probably the first week of October would be my guess. A bunch of existential ideas were running around my head and this song sort of reflects that. The end is an idea that is shamelessly ripped off of a Mount Eerie song. I mean, it's not exactly the same, but Phil does something similar. I just saw it as a brilliant way to end the song.
The cover is "Thanksgiving" by Microphones/Mount Eerie. It was going to be this cover anyways, because I felt it fit the theme of the songs, but then I realized it was thanksgiving, so it seemed even more appropriate. Though this song isn't really about the traditional thanksgiving, but same difference. Oh yeah, the original lyrics in the first phrase of this song are "...are blessed by stars..." not "...lit by stars..." which I screwed up and didn't feel like re-doing just because of it. It doesn't make a difference, but I just wanted to state that. Oh, this song is also supposed to be two different voices, but there was only one of me, so use your imagination.
"I like thanksgiving because everything is my mother."
